Things that a Student Experience in History

I learned that there are so many things happened to us in the past. How people survive during the World War and that we are so lucky for not experiencing any of the war and now I am a part of a democratic government, a government with freedom of expression and no one needs to watch whenever I am watching a movie or playing with my gadgets and doing face book. Because before, while they are watching theater somebody needs to guard and observe them. I feel so sad and afraid and have goose bumps just thinking about the past and how people tried to survive. Children who died young and old people were all affected. Filipinos don’t know the meaning TO PROTECT YOUR OWN BOUNDARIES or PROTECT YOUR OWN RIGHTS. Many things have changed now, people can choose what music they like (so many tunes that what ever pleases your ears, then you can listen too it sometimes it is irritating to others but for me it is nice to listen) and what clothes to wear (sometimes people now can wear anything from shorts to bikinis). Just to think before when a person wakes up from sleep, they are immediately afraid, whenever they do something they still need to think if that is the right thing to do or to suffer the circumstances again.

I realized that studying History is so important because it increases our knowledge about the past. It also helps us in our daily life that’s why we have to remember everything we studied about history. For now I am interested in asking my dad questions about anything that I want to know about the past. Or I will ask him the “WHY AND WHERE it happened” questions. I know history is very difficult…SOOOOOOO Many things to remember names, years, places, which sometimes I think I mostly remember the birthday of the dead people involved in the past rather than thinking about the birthday of my brothers. But I know that once I learned to evaluate and analyze the things….and to be able to understand the people (The WHAT, WHY, WHEN and WHERE) questions are all answered everything will be easier…but thinking about the spelling again…that will be another story…

I am just quiet especially when I need to listen and to understand everything that my teacher is saying. I do recite sometimes, especially if I know the answer to any questions. I feel good whenever my teacher is discussing because she is awesome. There is no boring time whenever she is discussing, sometimes she will also give her own experience and ideas which are all related to the subject. I found the subject interesting and I felt the sadness whenever I could imagine the hardships of the Filipino’s before. I understand the discussion but sometimes the German names is hard to pronounce and sometimes some words are in Tagalog or in German that I sometimes forget the spelling. I like the movie regarding World War 2 which is The Pianist. Just to think how the children, women and especially the men suffered, it’s saddening.

I am so thankful that I was not born on that time and experience so much pain and hardships. I thank the lord that I was born with so much smile in peoples face and not to experience the everyday threat in the life of the Filipinos. And thinking that I have my loving brothers and I will always be the only little flower in the family. Having a nice smile every morning and a breakfast to eat is a very nice feeling. I hope that others would as well value the caring that every people are receiving from their family and also from school.
